Alternator Voltage Too High

My 70 GS455 has the factory external regulator setup and works well but the regulated Voltage has always been too high. With no accessories on voltage runs from about 14.5 to 15.5. Rather than the recommended 13.8 to 14.2. This is with a fully charged battery and cruising rpm.

So, is there a recommend procedure for adjusting the stock regulator or perhaps a solid state replacement?

I've done all the alternator and load tests just didn't realize that the location of the regulator adjustor screw was also in my chassis manual. Thanks, Larry.
