Looking for a 2 row min 1" rad for my automatic 68 GS350 under 300USD and it seems like Champions AE161 is the best option but is back ordered for who knows how long. I looked at what summit has to offer and other companies but nothing seems to compare to AE161 for price, performance and easy install. Anybody out there has experience for an affordable alu rad for their 68 GS 350 automatic ? Thanks!

Hi, I have a 68 skylark and want to upgrade the rad. I was about to buy a gma42a but when i removed the old one and measured, there is 34 inches width at the bottom of rad support and gma42a measures 34.75 wide...how did you fit yours in? Thanks

It fit well. I think that extra .75 is in the tanks. I did also have to modify and swap around the rubber supports just a bit. I don't recall having to do it to the bottom ones. Just the top. That Cold Case radiator was thicker than the stock one though.

There are more details on what I did here, on page 2.

Im wondering if your 69 gs400 would have a wider rad support/space then my 68 skylark350. I dont mind the small adjustments you made, i just dont want to return the rad to seller since im in canada and it gets expensive.

Well, knowing what I know about GM A bodies, the core support is probably the same. I'm sure that originally, the big block cars with AC (like mine) came with a thicker radiator with more cores.

I don't know much about the small block Buick cars, but I would think they have different rubber pads and fan shroud.

Sorry I don't know more to tell you...
