Looking to buy a pair of quarterpanels for a 1968 GS 350. Most of the aftermarket ones I can find have square cut-outs for the rear side marker lights, but the original ones on the car are circles. Anyone have any experience using these? Or is there anyone selling ones with the round cut-outs for 1968? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    John

The rectangular cut-outs are for 1969 cars, only 1968 were round. The panels are the same otherwise. AFAIK no one makes 68 specific ones.

    Hi John,

Welcome to V8Buick. If your quarter panel is in decent shape you can just go "around" the marker light area with the new one. That's what I've seen a lot of people do. Either that our "plug" that area with the original quarter panel material. I wouldn't think it would be all that difficult to cut out the rectangular and create the round hole after welding a piece in either. Post up a picture of your project if you please!

Are you anywhere near Cincy? I have a right NOS '68 quarter that is for a 4 door that would make a perfect patch panel in most cases. It looks like I'll never use it at this point.
