I've seen threads for adjustable lower rear control arms to gain more tire clearance from the front of the quarter wheel opening. Would it hurt to have adjustable upper AND lowers? What are the pro's and con's? The new Jegs catalog has them. I'm about the pull the rear end out to go thru it(new brakes, axles, gears, maybe new posi unit) and I figured now is a good time to get the rear suspension.

I wouldn't bother. Edelbrock makes a top notch upper adj arm. The realreason for adjustables is to adj your pinion angle. You seem to be talking about wanting to move (or adjust) the entire axle rearward. This is not a commmon mod. Are you ure that you need to do that?

I may need it for tire clearance. I see some guys trim the front of the wheel opening to give more clearance. I don't want to get into cutting metal if possible. It's bad enought that I'll have to roll the wheel opening lip.
