I use all Timken bearings/seals. If this is a 71-72 8.5” 10-bolt,you need the SET9 bearing and the 712146 seal. The master or mega kits that are offered do NOT include these axle bearings. When they say “includeds axle bearings”,they are for the c-clip style axles,so you couldn’t use those anyway.

Thats my problem. I'm rebuilding the rear end for a friend and the retainers are missing. Got all new parts I just need the retainer and axle bearings/seals. Are the A9 bearings same as SET9?

A9 is the same as SET9. Inline Tube sells new retainers that are identical to the originals,or you can get some aftermarket ones from Moser.

I have my own I have been using for 10 years now.. .Water jet out of 3/16" steel at a local place here.
We have all the Timkin bearings also
Reason everyone is using Timkin is that the seal is the only one out there that is even CLOSE to factory spec.
I still hate that that there are no NON tapered bearings for sale. :( Just disappointing.
You can PM any one of us for prices etc.
Always on the shelf and ready to go here.
