It's been about five years since I've been on these forums, so long that I forgot my username and had to make a new one.

Anyway, I have a '78 lark in very rusty condition (from wisconsin). The interior is beat to hell also. I put in a 77 nova 305 to replace the 231 v6 which was shot a while back, which runs nice. I also put in dual exhaust and a 4 barrel about five years ago. The transmission is shot, but I have another one to put in.

I didn't keep track with the market. What's the deal with the x-bodies? Does anyone care about them? I'm most likely going to part it out and then scrap it. It's taking up a lot of space and I just don't have time to mess with it anymore. What's the best way to get rid of it?

I'm from Wausau, WI. I'll rethink about sending it to the crusher if there's the market. I prolly won't really do anything with it until spring.

I'll try to take pics within the next couple days. It's in my shed and has been for the last five years. I think it's past the point of restoration, mainly because the frame is too rusted. The interior is also done for (faded, rips, cracks, holes, etc.).

The engine, headers, exhaust, and 4 barrel are the only things really worthy. The tires and rims are also in very good shape. The bottom of the body is rusted through in many areas. The car is runs fairly well, it's just the damn body that has been rusted through with all the wisconsin winters it's been in.

Welcome aboard! Sorry to hear the car's not too well off.

Just a FYI, though the tires may seem to be in good shape, if they've been stored on the car all that time, inflated or not, I wouldn't put them on the highway; they should be recycled I'm afraid.

It probably has more value than you think. They dont make many parts for that car anymore. You could strip the good stuff off at least before junk it, they dont pay anymore or anyless for scrap if its missing stuff. Post some pictures when you get a chance....
