Can anybody give me some Information on this car?
How much horses did they have? (as they were built in '74, were they still strong?) How many were produced? (Is 1200 correct?) What's the value about?
    Thanx so much!

    245 hp / 360 tq

it's the last year of the closed chamber heads and it should still have the oversized valves. also, it will have an 800cfm carb and the 5/8" oil pickup.

Just over 20,000 were built in '74 of which 4,119 had the GS option (GS fender emblems in a gold color) and 1,698 had a Stage 1 engine (last year for the Stage 1) Stage 1 had 15HP more than the standard 455 engine
It is the longest ever produced Riviera

Is there one for sale in Germany?? :Brow:

Looks great!! But I'm prejudiced in a way... in every article about Rivieras you will find that the 74-76 era is not favorable
Which part of Germany are you from?
I see that it was a Swiss car??

Im from da south near Augsburg/Mnchen.
Sweet Home Bavaria, where the beer's cold and the sky is always blue. (at least i wish it was! ;-) )

Where's the meeting? I will be in Amsterdam on the 2nd of August at the Dwight Yoakam Concert. Maybe I can stay longer then. (He also has a Boattail, or two I think)

I bought the car from Switzerland...

I also have a 65 Riviera in Parts 4 Sale. Great rust free body!

cheers, I think I should have a cold one now! :beer

Only yesterday I returned from a week Oberammergau/Garmisch Partenkirchen and indeed very nice weather there (like it is right now in The Netherlands...)
The Riviera meeting will be in the Utrecht area (30km from Amsterdam) Hope you can make it

Paradiso Amsterdam is definately the best club to see a Dwight Yoakam gig

Noshit? In Oberammergau? That's just round da corner from me.... about 60 km.
I have to go in this area today to pick up a Dodge Charger...
    U probably passed my town.

I've climbed the two mountains there last year. It's fun, I used to go there a lot with my dad when I was a kid.

Next time u'r here, call me, and u can stop by!
    :beer

Yeah I'm looking forward to see Dwight again. He is my favourtie.

That '74 Riv looks like a keeper to me. Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe it. Words won't describe how nice that car is. You'd be hard pressed to ever find another '74 Riv GS Stage 1, and I would say almost impossible to find one in that condition!

Man! That looks exactly like the one I had in 1981! Well, other than the roof. Mine was a Landau. But colors and other options are the same. Boy, this brings memories back! What a great car!!

Thanks friends, for the nice words. In fact it is nicer as I thought it would be.
When the guy which I bought it off, followed me to the gas station, I was like:
"Wow, what a great car I bought! Is that a Mountie from Chicago following me? ;-)"
But I have 21 others, so I have to sell sth.! :Dou:
    But what?! :Do No:
    I will see...
Hmm Airbags? I have to check....

Where can I get a new Stage1 decal for the Air Cleaner? This is missing on that one...
Do the Stage ones have a special motornumber or vin tag? How can I check if it's a real one?
I think it is one, but it's worth checking....

I don't think it is a car with ACRS (airbags) The steeering wheel would have looked like this (photo by Phil Racicot):

    Hi guys,

Nice car! I'm not sure if the aircleaner lid carried the Stage1 sticker. But your engine block should have the code XA, same engine as for the the 73 Riv Stage1. It has the bigger valves. There should also be a 'W' in the vincode to be a real Stage1 car. Also you should have a BT tranny, instead of the standard BC, together with a 3.23 posi rearend.

What year charger are you picking up? :Brow:

    Menno

    too many Rivs....

    Hi again,

Just curious, does the restoration of your car included the seat upholstery from Legendary Auto Interiors? They look real new on your car so thats why I'm asking.
I was wondering how those seats would look like as I will be needing them sometime for another project of mine.

Hi, I don't know where the seats were made, but I can ask the seller.

    I picked up a triple black R/T 440 Charger from 1968!
    :TU:

    I wish I had.
In my wet and wild dreams at night I always do.... but today it was just a rusty '73 SE with a 318 and wiiiiiiide Cragar S/S wheels. It was very cheap. And it is not what I dream of, but still a cool car... matches my '73 Satellite. If anyone wants to see a picture here...
