Tom, I seem to recall a beautiful blue skylark you sold years ago...10+ years, I believe you had completely restored it, I loved that car. I could be completely wrong so I apologize if I am.
I really like this survivor car! Tom do you know the story on the car? Very cool yes space and cash got me into a HUGE to do list lol!
Sure sounds like it, I thought I smelt a fake on that trailer and cash guy. Seemed to good to be true siiiigh Hope you get a REAL buyer Tom, I’d be a player but my days of disability “pay” keep anything nice out of my hands. At least I have good memories. Best of luck with your sale brother.
What you need is the FLTFP (Fritz Long Term Finance Plan) I’d love on it! or I am sure I have that much in cool GS/GSX parts! Heh heh
Start listing parts like a madman Fritz, lol. Maybe I should too. Problem is about the time we'd sell enough to buy Tom's car it'd be gone and we wouldn't have the parts or a car. Somewhat the same issue even if I were to sell my car to buy it (believe me I've considered it). Can’t exactly do a contingency sale like on a house. It was a carefully constructed deal when I sold my last '70 Stage 1 4-sp. to buy my current one and fortunately worked out well for all 3 parties.
Yep, I hear ya Dano ,I’d get rid of all my best 40 plus years of parts, sell some spare firearms & then lose the darn car and I’d be crushed. Still trying to sell spares currently but can’t see me making it in time
tom are you available during the day ? early afternoon? I'd be interested in stopping by for a closer look
******Car is Sold****** gone, removed from my ownership. To those who inquired recently, I'm sorry, but the car just sold local. I didn't say anything ahead of time this time, as I had already marked sale pending twice, then had egg on face and had to place it "For Sale" again.
Strangest sale ever. Guy didn't want the matching numbers engine. He offered me a little less cash, but I kept everything other than the trans, bell housing, flywheel, clutch, z bar, and the ram air breather. Said he had his own fresh engine. I have everything else from underhood, complete matching numbers WS code Stage 1 engine, carb to pan. I kept radiator, radiator top plate, BB fan shroud, clutch fan, 4spd carb, entire engine, dist, parts, bolts, hoses, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, etc.
Maybe keep and get the new owner's contact info to the next owner of the engine, and vice versa. Maybe, hopefully, down the road the two can be reunited.
That's the plan, to anyone else, this block is scrap iron. To the future owner of that car, this block has got to be worth what???
