Hey guys. Been awhile... Due to latest destiny chages, and this new Section, I offer this stuff up to anyone who wants to come pick it up. If you'd like to offer anything for it, that's up to you. You all know me here.. Here's a url to the car and parts up for grabs. My only stipulation is that I retain the front brake setup in the end. It comes with the hood, backseat, passenger fender, steering column (gotta steer, right?), and I'm sure other parts I can't think of at the moment. I also have the front bumper for it in nice shape. Door glass as well.. On the note of Non-donation items, I have a freshly redone & powercoated Core Support and Inner Fenders as well as a what appears to be freshly rechromed rear bumper ('71 w/ optional guards) complete with brackets. Am I nuts in what I've been doing? Only 2 ppl have said no. To those two ppl, I thank you. Perhaps I am nuts. To the uninformed, read here. Read that, then know that it's going to be frame off resto'd.. So there it is guys... Thanks for reading. '72 Skylark & Parts Located in LA County, CA. Please, No PM's... Scott
Lemme get this straight- You're giving the stuff away? Talk about storing up good Karma! What I'm really looking for is a decent Disk Brake pedal cover. You want to let yours go to a good home? Hmmm. I'll be in LA in 4 weeks. Might have to get your address. Oh, and drive the truck down! John
I would like to have the master cylinder and the vacuum booster if you don't need them with you front brake setup.
Okay, not to sound uhh what's the words.... 200+ views and 4 replies? I thought you guys liked free stuff? uzzled: Rick: Good question.. I dunno what exactly to ask for them. I've seen 'needs work' for 200, and painted for 650.. That's just the CS! I've seen fenders with holes for 65 and nice used for 125.. I'm truely at a loss at the moment... Albert: I'd like to give the entire car away as one item as I believe someone would be more apt to take it as a whole then a 'needs hard to find parts' car... John: We've emailed... LaMarr: I won't be needing them included with the front brake setup I don't believe, but the person who wants the car may want them. I'll ask whoever takes the car for you tho.. Car and items are up for anyone, come get them, or have them shipped to you. Scott
I love free stuff!!! But was under the impression from your post that all parts must be picked up. I'm a bit far away for that. If shipping is an option..... I could use the front bumper rubber if its descent, a Non AC dash pad, Radio, Radio bezel, Steering wheel that isnt cracked black or tan.:TU:
i can pick up the whole car, and take it off your hands :Brow: i could really use the whole car. let me know what u would like to do . thanks
Hi Scott, You can consider the grill and the pad gone! That grill (grille?) is far better that what's on my car, that's why it's painted black. Thanks a million, John
In regards to the Core Support & Inner Fenders, I'll lay out a tarp and take photos in the morning and post them. The Inner Fenders are still wrapped up in padding as they came from the powdercoating. The CS is unwraped as I attempted an install only to findout my front framerails were too narrow.. :ball: Mike: The only thing I have that you listed is the radio bezel. If you want one, it's yours.. Albert: I'll take photos and post them tomorrow so nobody wastes a trip and everyone gets a current representation of the car. John: Done... Will be here when you drive down.. I should also mention to everyone who reads this, I have a '71 Skylark grill in good shape. Only one broken stud which can be repaired easily. It is however painted black with a GS Emblem on it. Photos to come... I'll also try to pry the '71 Rear bumper from it's location in the shed (yes, these special parts are housed) and take photos as well. Thanks to everyone, keep asking for stuff! It's donationware ya know! :TU: Scott
Whats the story on the rear bumper (72 with rubbers) and the Deck lid??? Wonder what shipping would be to FLo No: :beer
Scott, sounds great. Let me know about shipping charges for the radio bezel. My zip is 60435. You can email me at prybell@comcast.net Thanks:TU:
has anybody had any contact w/ scott. does anyone know if he is near those fires?? just curious cause i havent got a responce on any e mails
Guys - Scott was recently on the east coast for a little while - visiting family. He's back in LA now. He didn't have computer access out this way....so, he was probably BURIED with emails when he got back. As for the fires...he was pretty much out of harms way. Fires got semi-close...made it to Chatsworth and Thousand Oaks - close enough!! Plenty of smoke and soot though.:eek2:
The Aftermath... (not really... p ) Hey Guys, I'm back.. A big Thanks to Scott for posting for me! :TU: The current status is as follows: John: Lemme know when you'll be here.. Albert: I have yet to hear from you... Lemme know before I let it go to someone else. Mike: Lemme find it, if you still want it, say $5.. Jeff: Will go with car unless nobody wants it, then it's parts. Dan: Not a giveaway item.. Sorry.. David: Will see you later today. I'm making today photo and repair day, will have photos up by tonight for everyone. Scouts honor... Scott
Hows the condition of it... Rusty, holes??? If its decent will you ship it?? if you will can you get a quote to 33990??? and... and....and...   Thanks Man, Not in a hurry unless you are:TU:
