Is there an emotional attachment to the car?

Yes there is lol it is the first car i have ever owned, built once, and driven to highschool ( i actually bought it from a board member here : turbotimmer), and i told myself that day i bought it i wanted to keep this car for most of my life no matter what it takes. So yes I have a lot of attachment to the car hahaha :):D

Got these pictures yesterday. The halo shell and all pieces i sent down there have been sodablasted as of this weekend. This coming week they will spray the weld thru primer and begin reassembly for final weld

Here are the pics the shop sent me today of their work the past two days. Went from just having floors sitting on the frame, to this in a matter of just under 2 days. So excited, just need couple more odds and ends. Eventually, in no time at all i will be painting ;);)

Havent had many major new updates on the car other than im headed down in a couple weeks to put the brake lines on the car as well as work with the shop to put the front suspension back together and make the car a complete roller again. But in the meantime i bought one of todds banners to put in our trailer for when we pick up the car in the next month

Got to see the car yesterday. It actually looks like a car again! The quarters are on, ready to be just about welded into place. Just have to fine tune a couple of areas with the tail panel fitment, and it will be good to weld up for good. All panels should be welded on by the end of the month, with the frame being sent out for powder coating at the beginning of October. Then i will go down to rebuild the areas of suspension that need replaced and put the stainless brake lines on the car. Then next month itll be back home for the next phase of the project

Bought most of the stuff i need to rebuild steering and suspension from summit racing yesterday. With any luck the car comes home this month and i begin the arduous process of body work and painting. Then will finalize suspension and beginning the build for a new motor. Lots to plan, more updates to come

Been a very long time since ive updated the thread. But have been progressing fairly slow recently. Both jobs and school have been going non-stop but im still plugging away! Got the steering column apart going to go through it repaint and finish everything ready to bolt back into the car. Just repainted some parts of the column today, have to wet sand and clear to get that smooth finish. Thatll be tomorrows project. Then i can start final reassembly. Anyone have a recommendation on the grease used in the columns for turning the wheel? (Cant think of the technical term for what the bearing is called)

One piece of the column down two more pieces to go. Have to spray another coat of color on the other two pieces, but as luck would have it im out of color  but one piece complete is better than no pieces complete

Got to go see the car today. Man it sure has come a long way since it was sent down to Iron City Rods and Customs (dont look now but it actually resembles a car again). My car is now on the priority for getting finished and sent on its way back to me. Cant wait, very excited to get it back and thrash on it!
