I need the drivers side locking devise for my rag top. The pin that hold the handle in a locked position broke. Any one with a idea where I can get this part??
thanks for the reply, I'm new at looking for parts and describing what i need. It's not specifically the hook but the handle you use to open/close the hook. I assume it's one whole assembly.
dougt, You are from Saint John, N.B.? I met a fellow about a week ago with a '72 LeSabre needing the same part. Saw you pull into a gas bar & stopped to say hello. Car is Butternut Yellow & a black, maybe brown roof.
yup that was me, putting some air in the tires....just looking to do some preventative work on the roof.
These latches are standard in any full size GM convertible from 1971 to 1976. So look for a salvage yard that has some old iron and ask them if they have a full size convertible. If you ever see one grab these. You might even try the GM parts counter. I bought 2 brand new from them, but that was many years ago. John
