Have a 72 GS-455 that i owed for 35 years. Had a Sloan vehicle identification on the vin number done, to see what options from the factory. The only questions I have is that the interior was option in black vinyl buckets seats, but when I bought the car 35 years ago it had original tan buckets seats. even the door and back side panels were tan. when i restored the interior, there wasn't any sign of black anywhere. Does anyone know if the factory made a mistake or what?
what does the trim tag on the cowl say? I believe the interior codes are color specific and easily decodable. That would be more accurate than sloane I would think. I had a 70 gs that I changed interior color and style on and left nothing original except the trim tag that told what it once was.
