I have a 7 blade 20 inch fan.If you have the 18 inch fan,that's not correct for your car,but if it's a 20-21 inch fan,you are good.Bruno.
Now I'm not sure. Do you have a build sheet? I'd check with Duane or another board member with a similar set up. Assembly manual shows a 7 blade fan, but refers to five blade part number. Also refers to HD cooling having different fan.
All 455 in 71 that were stage 1 with or without AC and all heavy duty cooling and all 455 with AC used the 5 blade 20”. As a side note 71 350 cars with AC as well as 70 350 with AC appear to use the same 7 blade as a 70 455 GS 455
Matt, assembly manual diagram shows a 350 on the AC build page so only the part number is relevant, funny thing is same page in 70 manual shows a 455 big car engine with same 5 blade that was used on all 71-72 455 with Stage/AC/Heavy and 70 big car only 455 with AC/ Heavy. It’s all confusing as hell.
I have the correct fan you need. It was NOS when I bought it and I used it for a while and has very few miles. It’s not doing anyone any good sitting here so I’ll part with it. The paint got away from me a bit and it’s too shiny. Re-paint or it will dull over time. I would have to ask $100 shipped as it will take a pretty big box I’ll have to hunt down and shipping will be pricey. If interested let me know and I’ll add photos.
I have one also if the above options don't pan out. Its been bead blasted and is ready for paint or powder coat.
I've noticed that also. Just goes to show the assembly manuals didnt always reflect what went into production,
