Hello, I am a 56 year old rookie. I bought 2 cars; one intentionally (70 GS 455) and one by accident (71 skylark). The 1971 Skylark I would like to sell. I have been told by a 30 year body guy that the 71 Skylark was a bit rare in that it is a "2 door post". I am not exactly sure what that means but get the feeling that it has somehting to do with stability. The guy I bought the GS from has a 1971 Skylark race car in BC Canada. My wife told me he said the following about the car. She may have not said this correctly. "He looked it over - said that support on the frame of backseat window is good. They look for that (an improvement in saftey) not just for racing but it stabilizes the frame on turns." Can anyone give me some information about this so that I can discuss it intelligently with prospective buyers? Thanks, George
George, Bob G is looking for another one. You can see his post here: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=83891 This is what he did with the last one he had: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=83204
71 Skylark Post Thanks for the info. Actually, Bob G contacted me a few days ago and I have sent him some photos. George
George, This sounds like a good story in the making. How did you "accidentally" buy the 71? I know I tell my wife I accidentally bid on cars on ebay all the time, how does your story go?
