71-72 B, C & E Body Control Arm Cross-Commonality?

    If those part numbers are accurate, it appears 71-72 B, C, & E Bodies use the same control arms as 70-72 Camaros. Rockauto says they at least use the same control arm shaft kits.

    Googling the p/n's for other B,C,E components, it looks like there's more cross-product usage for a lot of them.

    Can this be right? Did the different divisions use the same p/n for the same component type but with different designs? I gotta be missing something.

    Mostly all the simple parts, like brake shoes, pads, wheel cylinders, and master cylinders. Back before computers, it was easy to look in the books at buyers guide and find these things really easy.

    I doubt whether the actual control arms are the same. Yes for the upper control arm shafts, and maybe the ball joints?
