Need a bit of help from the braintrust. It's been awhile since I've been into the bottom end of my 455 (it's a '71). I pulled the dipstick out today and now it won't go back in all the way. It is hitting something inside (the crank or windage tray maybe?). Never had this issue before, ever. I pulled the dipstick tube and it is not straight (see photo) and in my recollection was never straight. Should it be straight? Also, about an inch from the end of the tube is a wear mark - see photo. Guessing the crank has been rubbing this for a couple of decades. Motor runs fine. No funny noises. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

It's hitting because the tube is bent
