    It’s been more than a while since I’ve posted…

I am working on my folks ’73 Stage-1 with a 700R4, Holley 850 DP from AED on a B4B with 1” spacer. A Lokar TV cable has been installed somewhere along the line.

I am trying to set the TV cable, but can’t seem to get to full throttle before running out adjustment. It’s close, but comes up short.

I’ve purchased the Holley adapter bracket, but it lines up just where the current TV cable connector is located, on the bottom of the carburetor linkage.

I’ve tested the transmission pressures, and they coincide with the minimum numbers I’ve found online. If I set the cable so it has a little tension at idle, the pressures come up nicely but then I am quite a ways away from getting full throttle.

    Any insight?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Dave

Do you mean the TV cable is keeping the throttle from opening all the
way? If so the linear distance covered by the carb connection is greater
than the TV total travel. Connect to the carb linkage CLOSER to the shaft
center, for less linear distance. Bruce Roe

On a B4B I had to bolt my cable bracket on that threaded stud off to the rite a bit. It got it close enough for full throttle and works fine.
