So,now I have my injured knee repaired,I am starting to focus on my back half car and getting it done before I retire in two years.I have decided to stray from the GSX theme as well as 1970 bumpers etc. The car is a 1971 Skylark and I have decided to paint the car white with black vinyl top again. No GSX rear wing or stripes. The motor is a Stage 2 with SPX intake so I am unsure about my hood choice.(Absolutely NO stage 2 scoop!) I am trying to make a list of items I need to go back to 71 style. I sold all my 71-72 things but regret it now.I am in need of a few things in the next few months for this car. I am not concerned with being totally correct etc,but want it to look presentable. So far,I will be needing straight front bumper straight rear bumper RH and LH taillight lenses LH headlight bezel RH headlight bezel front hood trim 71 GS grille(I like the look better than plain Skylark's) can be a repaired one If there is anything I need please add to the list. I have a hood release and mounting bracket for a 71 already.
I have the T/L lenses. I saw bumpers recently but can't remember where - '72's are in abundance but '71's not nearly as much. May be able to help on a LH H/L bezel. Nice RH's seem harder to come by. I'll PM you later.
This isn't the one ai was thinking of but... https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?t...iginal-exhaust-manifolds.369394/#post-3204384
Regarding the grille and if weight isn't a concern I would recommend a metal grille. Not original but then no worries about leaning on it accidentally breaking. Not a perfect fit, but for my car as a driver, not a show car, I like it. https://www.opgi.com/moldings/front...kylark-gs-custom-billet-aluminum-s241309.html
I should have the front hood trim and gs scoops grills if u decide to go GS hood I’ll check on bezels too
Pat, Not sure how the 70 taillight assemblies mount into the bumper, but remember the 71’s having small brackets with wierd attaching bolts. You would need them as well. Duane
