My rolling shell came with two carbs for my 455, auto trans:
    - 7040247 (455 Riv)
    - 7029244 (350 Auto)

I believe they are both 750 cfm.

Will the ...247 work well or should I find a ...240 that the car would have come with originally. Is there any reason I shouldn't use the ...247? This is a DIY project, not a concourse restoration.

    Thanks, Tom

247 Would work fine it's still a 455 carburetor if it needs to be rebuilt I would send it to Ken at every day performance he can set it up to your combination he's a member here on the board.

Thanks for the quick response Stage 2. My block came with a Performer - last weekend's project was going back to an original intake, so the carb is next. The car in the avatar is what I'm working on. I hope to get it squared away in time for next Spring. Thanks, Tom
