I am in need of a Woodgrain sport steering wheel for a 70 71 72 Buick Skylark GS GSX. It is my fathers 40th birthday soon and I really need to buy one for his 72 Buick GS with the 455. Thanks in advance for any help! -Cody (new member)
What do you mean when you say wood grain? Kind of a fake wood look? If so, Buick never made one for those cars. I suspect you are talking about maybe a burnished saddle rallye (3 spoke) vinyl wheel with a grain or texture in it?
Not correct......But they sure do look good. I have one on my 70, its a 69 camaro 3 spoke wheel, I got it from muscle factory
I used one of these, used a dremel to grind the bowtie off the cap, and put a miniture tri-shield emblem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car...diZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3756.m20.l1116
hmmm...not so sure about that. my dad told me that this guy near us has a brand new box of them that he wont sell...i am going to talk to this dude this week. it looks somewhat like this: Cant POST LINK DOI!!! except its an actual GS steering wheel...closest thing to the reproduction
I have a repopped version that they sell regularly on EBAY in my Wildcat. Relatively inexpensive too, but nice quality.
he really wants the orginial...not a repro thats why i am asking for any1 with a rosewood finish or even a black one.
Like I stated I have a 71/72 black ralley steeirng wheel in xcellent shape complete for 250.00 shipped I also have a Grant rosewood wheel with the removeable security collar for 150.00 shipped
Cody- the wheel you are looking for is a 1968 Buick sport wheel. Refer to this thread for pics... http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=134062&highlight=1968+wood+wheel
