I know someone with near-perfect rear lens and surrounds -- they were NOS two or three years ago -- and the parts should be available.

Thanks Steve. Let me know if you hear of the source? I'll keep looking!

Oh, I know the source-- my old car. (Gotta update my signature since the car is now a parts vehicle.)

69 front bumper emblems are pretty durable. 70 are impossible to find. You'd pay less for a good used 69 Hood and front bumper with and emblem on it than you would for a 70 emblem.

Great information, thanks. I'll keep an eye out for one in the area. My front bumper is slightly tweaked anyway so when it comes time for a repaint a straight bumper would be cheaper than trying to get this one welded and re-chromed and it might be nice to bring it back closer to original.
I do like the 70 front bumper's looks though...

Recently received the front hood trim and driver's side door handle from Wheatbelt Antique Auto (www.wheatbeltbuick.com). Nice pieces, reasonable prices and quick shipping. I bugged them with multiple e-mails and questions and they always responded. I highly recommend them!

I toured my local classic/musclecar auto recycler yesterday (Phoenix,AZ) for about 2 hours. Like a kid in a candy store except the candy store was in the desert and the temp was 90+! They had a 4 door 69 Wildcat and a 70 Wildcat Convert. (They said they had 1 more of each but I could not find them after 2 hours and no one wanted to assist me...) I also found several 69 front bumpers (with emblem) but all had some damage. Also found one 69 grill. Amazing how many 70 front bumpers there were and none of them had emblems! The look of the 70 bumper and grille is growing on me so I think I'll stick with them for now.

Their parts are pretty pricey overall (ok, I'm cheap) so I walked out with just a rear glass for the convert and a driver's side armrest that needs to be re-covered. Not a bad price at $100.00. My 98 Sebring convert. cost my insurance company over $600 to replace the glass window. Obviously mostly labor, but I'll save over $500 with my own labor.

Hopefully Steve is ready to part with the tail light lenses!

The car is in the possesion of "Junkman" at this point. PM him -- he sounds like he wanted to hang onto the taillight bezels and lens for posible future use, but maybe he'll let them go.

Car was hit in the rear a few years back -- I bought NOS stuff from the Buick Farm to fix it.

Car has lots of options -- cruise, pw, ps, automatic climate control, pdb, 4-note, am/fm stereo, cornering lights. PDB and 4-note are spoken for -- by me.

I do have an NOS grille section with NOS headlight buckets in my garage. Not sure which side the grille is, but if you need it, I sure don't at this point. make me an offer if interested.

Thanks Steve. I'll try the Junkman. I'll wait on the grille section for now. If you find out which side you have and I can find the other side (NOS) then we can work something out possibly.

Big THANKS! to Junkman for selling the tail light lenses to me! I know he wanted to keep them and I really appreciate him letting them go!
    Thank you!

Also Thanks to Steve for steering me in the right direction!

I am in the same sad hunt as you - for a door - but I do have two spare center wheel caps that are not mint condition (no originals are and there are online instructive ways to reapply the paint to the glass) The caps have the Buick emblem on them with the colors painted behind a stencil (and the white goes first). I kept them as spares, but can share - and can get them at Spring Carlisle more easily than most. Store my user idea and it is my aol email address - if you exhaust all other opportunities - give me a shout. Though I think these are easier to find than you are experiencing.

  13. You might want to contact Mitch Romanowski. He does repro center caps. He goes by mitchr on here. I need the same center caps for my 69 wildcat but i have not had the money. they are a little pricey but the best available. i have been looking for 2 years and this is the best i have found.

Thank you to kschwoyer and farvas_wildcat for the replies. Sorry, kschwoyer, somehow I missed your reply way back in November...

I found the Wildcat wheel emblems (and centers) on E-Bay. I think they were about 20 bucks each plus the cost of the chrome/plastic center pieces. There used to be quite a few of them for sale on E-Bay.

Now looking for a dirt cheap but useable/complete 800cfm+ carb for the cat. Last owner threw away the original carb and put on a 600cfm Holley. For a 430, go figure.

Remembered this thread when this (also red) '69 Wildcat Convertible (430 engine; registered as a Wildcat; LeSabre front fenders) popped up recently in The Netherlands :Do No: :
