I'm looking for my 1st new Buick. I bought it from Huffines Buick in Commerce, TX in May, 1969. It was black w/o a vinyl top, with a black bucket seat interior. It had the Stage 1 package, auto, ps, pdb, ac, am radio, tilt, sport steering wheel, and swaybars. Nothing unusal. I installed a STAGE 1 emblem on the trunk lid. We traded it back in in August, 1970 for a 1970 Z28, which I still have. I think it was sold to a dealer in Sulphur Springs, TX in 1970. I really wish I could find it again. Anybody know anything about it? Thanks, Pat

Good luck with your search....Which car seemed faster to you? the GS or Z28.

Hi, the quickest the GS went was 14.67@96 mph. The Z28 went 13.51@104 mph. Both were on street tires, the GS had glass packs, and the Z28 had dumps.

There are a few people on the Board that really know the whereabouts of most of the 69 stage 1 cars. They will show up with some comments.

Take the VIN number to the DMV to see if they can trace it to a current owner.

Thanks for the help, I'll check my records and see if I've got the info. The silver 73 is at the upholstery shop, I'll get it back in June. The black 73 is still in my garage awaiting money to start on it. Thanks, Pat
