A friend of mine is looking to put a new exhaust system on his 69 LeSabre. He wants dual exhaust and a little bit of rumble, nothing too loud. I'm not sure which direction to send him. I don't suppose anyone makes a complete system for that car? Would his best bet be to go to an exhaust shop and have them custom bend the pipes and pick out whatever mufflers?
Have a look under the car and see if the trans cross-member is a dual hump or not. Likely the best bet is a custom bent setup. I use Magnaflow mufflers personally.
I would suggest Waldron's but it looks like the 69 LeSabre was not offered with the duals. Best to get your local shop to work on this one. https://waldronexhaust.com/product/1965-74-buick-v8-dual-with-2-mufflers-2-resonators/ I was working on a 68 LeSabre (350)- again no factory dual option- got the Waldron's for a 66 LeSabre (340) and made some modifications to outlet pipes. The rest is the same. On the 69 I would get the duals for a Wildcat 455 and modify the down pipes.
