OK, Now that I have your attention, let me just say that I hope this is in the right location. I think this is a super deal for the right person.

I have had the opportunity to work with a guy that has a bunch of Buicks. I have bought a couple of cars from him and made out well. Nice guy. Anyhow, he called me out of the blue and asked if I wanted the cars, before they go to EBAY. Which he does not want to do because of the hassle factor.

So I have kind of committed to buying them with the hope that someone here will have the resources to get these cars at a good price. Oh yea, I just told my wife that Im buying two more cars and it really did not go over very well. I need to learn to discuss these things with her first.

Heres what I know about the cars. The 69 lark would need body work on the lower parts, as always. Right now has bucket seats in it. I think a 350 2 bbl. I dont know if it runs or not, I know its been sitting awhile.

The GS400, is a factory 4 speed car (He is going to get me the VIN) the motor and trans is long gone, however, he has tons of parts, a 455 block (No I dont know what year), 4 speed transmission. Doors, lids, fenders, chrome, ram air stuff. Claims that the interior is in tact and that it has buckets. He has Boxes of stuff. Between the two, you should be able to make a good one.

$2500.00 takes it all. Im working on getting pictures, details, VIN and stuff. It may be early to post this, but this would make a nice car for someone and if everything checks out its one of 213 cars made!

Now the details, Im not going to ship anything, so please do not ask. Im looking for someone in the Southern MN, Northern IA area. Im up by the cities, the car is 150 miles southwest of the cities. You will have to haul it out in one trip. So a car carrier and a big truck. This is not going to happen overnight, I busy and the guy I buying these from is also busy, which is why Im helping out. So if your in the area and would like to get a project, it will be a project let me know. This is not for the meek or someone on a fixed or limited budget. I would hope all that respond would want to save this rare car. I do have a 69 shell that has a good crowl, floors, and I think rear quarters. There is a lot of parts. Please give me time to gather more infromation.

    Thanks,

    Rich

I hope to get down to the farm with him next week and get pictures. From the sounds of it, there's plenty parts, he mentioned he has been collecting stuff for awhile.

    Update

I wanted to give you all a quick update. We went round and round trying to figure out how to get everything in one place, where it would be easy to pick up. The car is being moved to South St. Paul (both cars will be togther) and all of the aprts are now sitting in my garage in Hudson WI. I wanted to get everything as far south as possible, however, His uncle didn't want his location known, which I have to respect. Look for pictures soon, I sent some to Mike, but I'll get them out to all soon.

I also hold both titles, the GS is a MN title and should not be a problem, the other vert will be next to impossible, the owner died and it's been signed a lot. Anyhow, it's the GS you want to save. You will need the other lark for parts. The GS was a red/red/white top car. I have the interior, buckets, rear seat, door panels, need a good cleaning, 4 extra doors, GS hood, Aircleaner, 2 trunk lids, fenders, bumpers, 4 chrome wheels, steering colume and a couple of boxes full of stuff. So stay tuned... :TU:

    Pictures

Here are some quick pictures. We are still trying to get everything in one place, darn work keeps getting in the way :Comp: .

Anyhow, I managed to get a better look at the parts, here is a quick rundown and I'm sure that I'm missing something:

One complete Vert, 350, don't know if it's a 2 or 4 barrel. Buckets (not correct, no headrest, not sure)
One GS Vert rolling shell. As soon as we get the cars together, Ill get more information and better pictures.

Parts, in addition to the cars:

    Chassis manual
Core Support, needs the pass side patched, drivers is good
GS Grille Is broken in a few spots, repairable
Standard Grille Maybe parts or a lot of work to make it usable
    Good Surround
Front and rear bumper, rear is bent on the bottom, looks very fixable, front looks good. I guess there is another one that is with the GS
    Rear Lights
    Front light surround, both sides
    Ram air intake
Ram Air hood, needs work, but fixable, one small dent, some deep surface rust.
    Ram Air cleaner nice
    Standard Hood
4 Speed console, dont get to excited, it needs work.
4 Buick rally wheels, 3 NOS caps.
4 speed parts, shifter (not Buick correct), pedals
Two Red Buckets, one back is cracked, nice rebuild able shape.
    Rear Seat Red, nice shape.
Door panels, front and rear, one door GS badge missing. Looks to be there, at first glance, didnt seem to be any rips, very dirty though.
2 extra Fenders, 4 extra doors
    2 trunk lids
    455 block/heads/manifold/Muncie I do not know what year/condition
    2 bottom windshield stainless trim.
    Door handles, and misc.

    Here are the pictures:

Everything that is listed is sold as a package deal, winner take all. Its being listed for $2500.00, which looking at all of the stuff and the clear title GS 4 speed, I think is more than a fair price, no haggle pricing.

If someone can commit from this information, please do. Following the rules of the board, its in this order:

    1) Mike Garrison
    2) Patrick
    3) Mike Sobotka
    4) Bob

If after seeing this information your definitely NOT interested, please just respond and remove your name.

I got involved with this, not to make money, but to help a friend and get the GS someday back on the street. :TU:

I do want this out of my garage ASAP and the owner is paying rent for storage on the cars, so we would like this to not drag out. I would think that 30 days, hopefully less after a deal is made to get everything. The parts alone took up a pickup and a 8trailier.

Any questions please ask and Ill do my best to answer them. :beer

    Thanks,

    Rich

    Update with Pictures

OK, Well we finally got the cars together and here is a run down of what I saw. The GS is just a shell, someone had the body off and painted the frame, the frame is OK, rear would need some attention. The other GS is a Custom, so the interior (also red) would work, so I think between the two it's all there plus. The GS didn't seem to have a posi, at least no tag, however, the other lark has one, clear as day. The trunk is gone on the lark and it does NOT have an engine. All the top stuff is there along with two buckets that do not belong to the car, but are the same color.

The pictures tell the story. The good news is that the heads and the manifold are 1231786 and 1231718, I didn't see the block but he has it. the heads, intake and block are a 1970 455! A lot of good parts plus a GS Vert 4 speed with a clear title! :beer

Enjoy the pictures and let em know if there are any questions.

http://www.baldwin-telecom.net/~rgarber/GS10.JPG Just change the GS number there are an additonal 50 pictures, GS10, GS11, GS12.......GS60

    Thanks,

    Sold! to me :Brow:

OK, now my wife is not happy :blast:

I now own 5 69 buicks, which is a good thing except my new (Nov 05) garage 26X36, is to small. I have to get rid of all this extra stuff. Look for parts in the for sale section, starting today.

I would like to sell the GS vert, good MN title. $500.00 takes it. It is just a shell on a rolling chassis. Hurry and we can work a deal before all the GS parts are gone. Buy only the pieces you want. Buyer of the GS gets first pick.

I will then list the parts as I have time, per the board rules.

    Thanks,

    Rich

Ok, is there a straight front bumper from either of these cars that the current owner is willing to sell?

    Ken, there all mine

I think I can set you up. I'm still working on pictures. I have two extra fronts plus one that is on the vert. I do have two sets of red back seats for your GS to. A can of spray paint, and don't let anyone sit in the back and your all set :TU:

PM sent . Put me in line and send some Pics. I could take both cars and needed parts. PS--- I can dye those back seats if needed AND you will be able to sit on them. Thanks!

I would definitely dye the back seat. If it's correct for a coupe, I'll definitely take the back seat.

Although I'm kind of confused over who gets what first here. Just know that I want it. :ball:

I would love to see a pic of that front bumper while it is ON the vert, from a eye level front view. I will buy that too if it is not twisted or bent upward in the middle.

Again, I don't want to step on anyone's toes here. Just need these parts if the price is right. Shipping should be fun. :error:
