My correct original radiator (and tag) and fan shroud got stolen from a friends place-- lowlifes broke in and stole all his radiators -- maybe 30. My shroud went with them.

I have a shroud line up, so I am okay in that regard.

I need an original radiator. Whatcha got?

Don't know if a 4-speed radiator is different than an auto tranny radiator -- I assume the tranny cooler is just plugged like on later GS's but really don't know.

I may not act immediately but will pretty soon.

Here are pics of the original radiator from my 69. Yes it is the same as an automatic with the cooler plugged.

The IA tank on the drivers side is very common. It was used for many applications. The bigger CG tank on the passenger side is what you need. You can buy a new core.

I have some radiators in storage. Next time I go there I will look.

Is your car AC or non AC?

I do not have a 69 manual. Generally, an AC car’s radiator will have the same IA tank on the driver’s side as a non AC car but a larger tank on the passenger side. Check that out if you get an offer to send you a 69 radiator from a non AC car. Someone with the 69 Assembly manual can verify if this is correct.

Check the AM to see if a 69 B body like a LeSabre used the same radiator tank on the passenger side.

I have a few radiators that have the big tank. They are coded "BB", "XJ", "HX" "AE"

So a board member sold me the correct tanks and I got a high-efficiency core installed. All good.

Only issue is that the transmission cooler leaked. Well, the guy at the radiator shop knew it was going in a car with a standard / manual transmission, so he took it upon himself to solder up the threaded ports in the tank.

I told him to please un-solder them and add steel plugs and that I would track down the right ones. No prob, he'll take care of it.

It would have been so easy to JUST CALL ME, but oh well.

Ask Todd. If he does not have them try:

    Jim Michael’s at Classic Olds 336 391 2688.

I bought a set from Jim within the last year.
