69 GS automatic to 4 speed

What would it take to convert a 69 GS floor shift car to a 4 speed manual?

 

Including all parts such as transmission console boot shifter linkage clutch pedal? I'm wondering what it will take to convert to get it all in?

 

We have a parts list posted. The cost will be 3-4K.

Would a 68 4 speed set up be the same as 69?

 

For the most part yes. I believe the shifter arms on the shifter are different, but no reason to believe they would not work.

i am almost done doing a 4 speed swap into a 68. if you have any questions feel free to pm me and ill answer with what ive learned over the last month. as Fred said the 68 shifter linkage is different, the shift arms are different, i believe in 69 they had the back drive, 68 had the backup light switch mounted on the trans.

 

Thanks Doug. So maybe it would be better to just wait on a 69 set up so I know that Im getting what I need. I just ran across to set ups but both are 68s. Do you guys think it would add value or devalue my car? If I ever had to resale. I have buckets and floor console from the factory
