Hmmm, I’m skeptical. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Buick...p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
Too bad not built in Canada where you can still get documents proving what it really is. I've seen messed up stamps before. My original numbers matching 400 block had "RRD" stamped into it. RR for GS 400, RD means 430 (I think Riviera). To add to this, the heads both number out as 430 heads. Back then, who the hell knows what kind of quality control they had.
Thats funny, my first 68 GS400 with its original engine had "PDR" stamped on it and the drivers side valve cover had a 430 decal under the 400 decal. Flint built car. My current 68 GS has the vin number stamped on the passenger side..... Wilmington built car.
It would be hard to value this car as a true stage 1 car. Its close to me, was considering looking at it but really losing interest. I’m surprised the price is as high as it is at this point
Gone, just as well my plate is full. I've been watching it, was going to bid and try for my first 69.
my 69 built Canada made. who knows what was going on then. It was the 60's lol anything is possible still is cool looking love those GS 68-69 's johnny
That is basically the same stamping as mine! I wonder if they took 430 blocks up there in Ontario and just restamped them and used them for GS 400's?
Something fishy here. Look at this listing then look at the 69 Sportwagon listed in another post. Same wording. Tim
