Shawn, I've been a wagon nut, well you saw the 68 Sportwagon and I restored a (don't laugh) 84 Century wagon as a daily driver that you have seen on the V8 Buick Board. As I posted I will be talking to the guy in short order. He said he didn't really need to sell it but sent me over 20 pictures :Brow: , well we will see. I will be getting my 14' X 40' Toy box soon so I will have a place to keep her, AL.

Well clearly the ball is in my court! I got a e-mail today on the car and said I could come out to look at it and posted in his e-mail he was firm on the $15k price. As a investment it would not be a good move on my part, so I need to think this one over knowing my 68 Corvette needs to be finished and the 72 GS will see some restoration in the near future. As far a making a offer I think that option went out the window from the last e-mail I read from the present owner, AL.

    Dana/Beth Andrews Huc accedit zambonis!

I'm keeping my fingers, toes & eyes crossed for ya (hard to type with eyes crossed  )

You know what we went thru to get my wagon... I :ball: the first time we lost out on it... but it was ment to be with me... I just had to wait a little while.

Will you be dealing in cash? That seems to go further then a check/money order.

    Best of luck.

    Beth

I know from personal experience it is very very hard to find a great
looking wagon like that.I searched high and low for my 72 wagon
for 2 1/2 years. As time went on the prices kept going up till I found
the right one and just bit the bullet.(best thing I could of done)
I think if it's what you want and you can afford it buy it.The
prices on beautiful wagons like that are going up in price quickly.
    My .02 ,cheers Curtis :beer

Curtis, good point! I know the car well because I did the work to bring it to what it is now. I sold it a wile back for $10K and seeing a $5K jump is a bit hard to take, but we will see how this plays out. I still think I go out to see the car and leave my number and a Cash offer and if it's to be I'll get a call, AL.

Well, I went down to see my 68 Sportwagon and it is looking better then I remembered! :TU: The guy that has it now is the most meticulous guy I have ever seen! :TU: You could eat off the garage floor (I'm not kidding!!!). He is a big time "car guy" and has excellent taste in cars. It nice to see that my 68 stayed in good hands. He has added some things like power brakes and new 15" sport wheels with red lines. It looks like I will getting her back, AL.

Thanks! I'm the one who put this one together :bglasses: and made the mistake of letting it get away :ball: . The only bad thing was the small gears (2:something posi) and being a 350-2. After the 14' X 40' Toy Box gets here. I'll have the to 68s sitting side by side (68 Sportwagon and the 68 Corvette). AL.

Y'know, you were thinking $12,000, but didn't even know about the new redlines, the new wheels, or the power brake set-up. That would cost you a close to $2,000 right there, plus the car is coming back spotless (and possibly with some renewed components elsewhere. Sounds like even if you paid his $15,000 asking price you aren't doing too badly.

Steve, your right! I spent a ton on it when I put it together and since the new ower spent even more, you have an excellent point! :Smarty: :TU: . I feel lucky to have a chance in getting her back and will not let it go again! AL.

Oh, one more thing -- niiiiiiiiiiiice ride.

I've said it before and I'm bound to say it again whenever I see a sweet sporty-- I'd buy a wagon too if I could only afford the ensuing divorce.
