    Hi,

seems that the switchs for my power windows in my '68 Riv are broken, doesn't work all the time.
Can someone give me a hint where to find those switches? A quick search doesn't bring something up.

Thx a lot and greetz from Germany

Try Todd on this Board. He is a Lectric Limited dealer. I assume that your switches have the round corners?

I've had good luck taking them apart and cleaning the contacts . Then coating them with Dilectric grease . Its worth a try . Just take apart CAREFULLY

Bet$'s theres nothing wrong with the switches. Check the wires that run between the door and body of the car. You'll find them cracked and broken.

    Thanks for the replies.
It seems that not the switches are broken, but the e-motor left-back completly. And also the motor left-front seems to have some issues.

How tricky is it for a noob to replace them, are there any instructions in the internet avilable and do i need special tools?
And are these the correct ones: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...+430cid+v8,1021420,interior,window+motor,1516

    Thanks in advance

Disassemble the motor, sand and clean the commutator, and replace the brushes as needed.

@jim: Like i said, i'm not that experienced... so i better buy new ones ;-)

@Briz: So you think the ones on rockauto are not the correct ones? But they list them for the 68 Riv ...

I would not count on those being the same. Something generic is my bet. Ask for some pictures.

Consider taking or sending your units to a small motor repair shop.
