I’m not right. Had to get this and it jumped the project line.
It is the biggest mess I’ve dealt with- someone was “fixing it “ but
What a mess. Pulling it apart and every fastener is wrong.
For example:5/16 bolt for engine mounts! 3” long screw
holding one of the seat frames. The window cranks are glued on.
K code turquoise , white bucket seats, 3-speed, console, no power steering or brakes.

In the words of Robert Lee , owner of Colman Liquidation- “we cover them up “. ‍
Rust that is. Floor pan was replaced… poorly. Fuel line may be copper.

Hey, at least they didn't use compression fittings. You've got a knack for special cars, Ted. This one is going to be another, although a compact compared to the 'Cat.

    Digging deep into the 68's
Convertible is all apart. Parts cars are coming apart. Bunch of stuff going to the paint stripper.

…And knowledge of how to restore it, where to get parts and who to trust to do the work right. I’m glad you got that car.
By the way, you didn’t buy this one did you?

It was on FB about two weeks ago in Minnesota. It’s a four speed car and was really cheap. It was gone in a day.

Wheels and tires from Mark R in Austin. Since my sister and more importantly nephew Sean live there I had Sean (19 yo)pick these up.
We met at Dad's in Hendersonville for Thanksgiving and made the exchange!
