hi all, I’m at a bit of a loss. The car sat for over a year. In the last 3 years it’s had brand new 4 wheel disks, new wheel bearings, new braided stainless hoses, and new master. The only thing that isn’t new is the booster. At first I thought sticky calipers, so I bought new ones. Made no difference. Then (even though I’ve never heard of a collapsed braided line) I thought maybe, so I bought a new set of braided hoses. No difference. I’m kind of at my wits end any thoughts?

Maybe the proportioning valve is jammed or stuck.

Could be bad stainless lines, look for rusted out ones.

were you able to bleed them properly? fluid all the way through?

Bench bleed the master cylinder to eliminate all the air? If it wasn't bench bled, you will be introducing all that air into the brake lines and calipers.

I swapped my master cylinder recently and spent about 30 mins bench bleeding all the air out of it. I did it on a vice and used a screwdriver.

Could be the booster pushrod is slightly too deep in the master. When the brakes are "sticky" loosen the master bolts from the booster to see if they free up. Then you will know the pushrod is slightly too deep. Easy & costs 000$$$

so now the braked aren’t sticky, it’s definitely a trans problem. It comes and goes. We can get around it by shifting into low and then upshifting as required. Drives fine then. The other strange thing is that the speedometer quits working whenever it’s being sluggish. It’s a 4L60E with a VSS. It has a VDO cable Converter and the stock speedometer. When it acts up, it’s like you’re stepping on the brakes. Just works WAY to hard (runs great, just works to hard)
