I have a posi rear diff I removed from my '67 GS that's taking up too much space in my garage and I want to sell. It's a complete rear with brakes and factory 3:36-1 gears. It has very little rust with no pitting and will clean up very nicely. What would be a fair asking price for this rear end?

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I am guessing it wouldn't be cheap. I have been looking around at rear axles and most of these(even the more common type) seem to be over 1000$. Your is more complete and in better condition than any of those.

On a complete drum to drum posi rear with a good streetable gear ratio, I'd ask $1500 for it. Also try Facebook Marketplace.

Trouble with that rear is the AXLE BEARINGS are impossible to find. I wouyld want the standard Skylark rear with out the heavy duty GS axle bearings.
That would be a reason alone to unload that rear.
Next concern is the posi unit. Mileage and how it was driven . Grandma driving a posi will wear the cones out ...every turn grinds them away. I know there is nothing you can do about that...BUT freeway long drives will be less on the posi city short street driving is a killer for a posi.
