Well, need a little guidance on getting to a spinning age nut. I made it through all but one which gave up after an hour of the slow dance. Its mount number 7 on the passenger side (one right behind the rear wheel well). Looks like I can cut a small access hole on the side of the mount from underneath to get to it by drilling a hole or cutout within the trunk. The trunk is nicely finished so I am leary to go that route, either way, I am looking to find someone to weld it back up. Just wondering if anyone else dealt with the particular one and what is the least invasive direction to get to it.

I had the same thing happen to a 1972 442 fastback.

I saved some body mounts from a car we cut up for parts. What I did was cut out a small rectangular piece surrounding the existing “bad” cage nut and replaced it with the piece from the saved body mount.

This was all done from under the car and when finished you could not even tell I was there.

We jacked up the body so there was enough room between the body and frame to weld it.

You can also cut out a piece of the trunk floor from the top then replace the cage nut, and weld the top of the trunk back in.

The only problem with that is if the brace is badly rusted inside, then you might not have enough metal there to weld just the cage nut back in.
