66 Special bench seat shift handle?

Planning on putting a Muncie in my 66 Special with a bench seat. I have searched here and can’t find a definitive answer as to which handle I need. I want to gather all the parts before I start this project.
I would also like to know if the factory 340 would be machined for a pilot bearing.

Do you want to put a Mnncie shifter in? There are repo shifters & handles avail. Here are some from Year 1:

There is a Hurst shifter avail for the 65-6 GS, this is what comes up in the search:
    For Saginaw:

(EDIT) For Muncie and BW T-10:

My '66 300 was drilled for a pilot bearing.

In my search I found that pic earlier today.
That is the boot I’m looking for. I’ll use the Hurst flat shifter though saved IMG_7462.jpeg IMG_7463.jpeg the shift hump pick from that thread too.

You want the boot on the left.

It looks much better the the one on the right.
It has an inner and out boot molded as a unit.

And I like the flat handle better as well.

Yes I want that boot but need to find source.
I’m new to Buicks and need a good part source. Seems I also need to shop for Skylark vs Special.

The boot on the left is an early GS boot, it's not reproduced. There is one similar, but larger, repo'd for the 442 that some of the 70-2 GS guys use.
IMO it's kinda big and goofy looking!
The boot on the right is a Buick & Chevelle boot. It's correct for GS with console... it covers the floor hole, and the console uses a upper boot. It's repo'd for Chevelles, as is the retaining ring and floor hump which are correct for early GS's.

Chevelle suppliers are often a good source for repo parts.... Ground Up (ss396.com), Lutty's, etc. Pontiac/Olds suppliers too.....Ames Pontiac is one of the best as they review the parts they sell and try to offer the best repos. I bought some z-bar hardware from them as it's a larger diameter than the Chev stuff.
Fusick Olds is real good too. They have the big shifter boot.
And of course there's CARS for Buick repos, and the Buick Farm for NOS stuff.

I like the Buick Farm. Similar to F Body Warehouse for Camaros.

Hey, I edited my previous post with the shifter part numbers..... the Muncie and BW T-10 shifter has a different pn than the Saginaw.
These are the install kits for the Muncie and BW:
    >>>Installation kits: Borg Warner T-10 (410) use 3734734, Muncie (451) use 3733163<<<

There's a great resource on Hurst shifters on the Shifter Doc site. Here's a listing of shifters and install kits:
    https://www.shifterdoc.com/productc...us-4-Speed-Shifters-Installation-Kits-d15.htm

Amazon has a good price on the 3917308 shifter, presently at $479 I have a price watch (camelcamelcamel) on it, it dipped below $400 in early 2023.
    https://www.amazon.com/Hurst-3917308-Manual-Shift-Lever/dp/B000BWALK6

I was surprised to see made-in-china install kits for Hurst shifters for under $100! ....tho I can't recommend them having no other knowledge of them.

Fred's shifter might work for you as long it's for a GM. His doesn't have the adjustable shift-stop bolts, so maybe it's an original GM unit and not aftermarket. Hurst shifters are tough to ID, you have to go by the shape of the levers as there are differences between GM, Ford, and Mopar.

My best advise....there's a board member, @crash Enterprises, that may have something you can use. Drop him a line.

I was just on Shifter Doc site last night.
This site has a lot of Hurst products. I was amazed to see it's also on Ebay too. Vet

Just ordered one(of the 3917308 shifters) for myself from Amazon. That is a good price. There's only 1 left now though.

    Edit...
Just checked again on Amazon... they're all gone at the 479.99 price. Cheapest now is 533.95
