66 Riviera rear Road Wheel space limitations

Does anyone have experience running 15x7 Buick Road Wheels (also known as Formula Five or Rally Wheels) in the rear of a '66 Riviera? If so, did you need to use spacers, and how wide of a tire could you run without lifting the rear with air shocks etc?

The stock wheels are 15x6 with 3 3/8" backspacing.
The 15x7 wheels (made from 1980-87) have 4 1/4" backspacing.

I want to run the wider 15x7 wheels with wide tires. But I seem to recall that to clear the frame I had to run spacers on my '65 Riv back in the '80s to use the newer wheels that had more backspacing. Not sure if it's the same for a '66 but wouldn't be surprised.

    Anyone know? Thanks.
