Not mine but belongs to a friend of a friend. Here's what he told me: White with a red vinyl top and red interior. Paint, chrome look good, interior looks original and in good condition, whitewall tires, full wheel covers, Wildcat 355 engine, 100,000 miles, wants $6,000.00. The car is located in Valparaiso, FL on Eglin AFB. His name is Russell. Ph:850-797-9808. I haven't seen the car but if someone here is seriously interested I would be willing to go take a look, but here's tip for you. Just because the car is located in Florida doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be a southern car. I'm not saying it can't be a nice car, just that Eglin is a big base and these guys bring cars with them from all over and I've seen some real $hitboxes around here. Call him first and ask him about the car. If you're still interested let me know and I'll go take a look. I'm a professional restorer so not much gets past me when I'm looking at a car.
My friend just told me the car has LaSabre 400 badges on the side but says 355 on the air cleaner. I'm not familiar with the big cars so what does this mean? Possibly a 401? Or maybe someone added the badges? I've actually never heard of a LaSabre 400 in `65.
Sounds like it has the 300 4 bbl engine, which has 355 ft lbs of torque. The 400 emblems signify the 3 speed Turbo 400 transmission. I was not aware this combo could be had in 1965, but I've been wrong before, and I will be wrong again.
Now on craigslist http://okaloosa.craigslist.org/cto/2897616279.html Price has also dropped. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.
