I developed a small leak in my rear axle cover. It appears to be leaking from the cover gasketed area. I want to replace the gasket but not sure what actual gasket I should buy. The rear is original to the car but when I look up the gasket by model year etc. I see multiple gaskets shown. Anybody know what actually is the correct gasket by manufacturer and number??? Thanks in advance for any help......

Thank you for the reply...... I'm under the impression that the 65 Sportwagen and the 65 GS share the same rear end. When I enter the data on a website for a gasket for my car is shows three different gaskets. When I enter a 65 Sportwagen it shows totally different gaskets. My rear housing has the two indents for the axle housings yet when I see pictures supposedly for my GS some have the left and right indents that my rear has and others do not . This is on the same page on the website. I'm all confused now. Funny thing is I replaced this gasket 15 years ago without any issues.. I think over the years the Skylark became a generic word and doesn't differentiate between the GS and other models of the A-frames...

All the 65-67 BOP 8.2 10 bolt rears use the same gasket. I would remove the cover, clean it up, and take it to your favorite parts store. Match up the correct gasket.

Rock auto gaskets are cheap enough,
