I'll be posting a complete center console out of a 65 GS post car. It's in real nice shape but need an idea of what it's worth. Hope not to misuse this for sale forum. Thanks in advance.

They're bringing good money on eBay. I'd say $300 at the least.
Most are incomplete, and have pitted chrome. Your's may be worth significantly more.

I paid $375 for a 67 GS-400 console complete with the 3-speed shifter and wiring harness for the internal lights. No tach in the console but I added one later, that was another $250.
    Please don't tell my wife.

I have 2 complete spare consoles and would not take less than 900.00 for either one. Mind you they are both excellent and near perfect chrome. One has 64 - 66 shifter the other is 67 style shifter. Good thing I am not selling them at this time

Nice Ken. I also have 1 without a shifter and tach. Not sure what to do with it, no place for it.?.?:bla:

i have got 330.00 for one with pitted chrome, not too bad though and a 2 speed shifter. missing small parts and the plastic was restored. i also got 130.00 for one with a 3 speed 67 shifter, chrome about the same, missing same small parts, but the shifter button was seized. all depends on who is looking and willing to pay what.

A wide range of "what there worth" The one I have was original with the car that now has a rachet shifter.. In looking again at it, I find it's all there, including mounting bolts and the linkage is still attached. There is some very minor pitting on the tach housing but other than that...it looks real good. Thanks for all the responses.

if i was using an aftermarket shifter i would try to retain that console. just make up mounts and a new shifter plate.

Ya, keeping the console is an option but since I received the car without an engine, trans, rearend....trying to keep it close to original is out of the question. The rachet shifter sits on the jump just up a little from the seat...works great. But thanks for you kind advice.
