Has anyone found a powder coat that is the correct Buick green for 65?

Take a sample to the powder coater. You would be amazed at how many colors there are. The guy that I use actually had 1971 Lawnboy green. Lawnboy 3.JPG

2-stroke Lawn Boy mowers. Those must be rarer than Nailheads.

Yup, and as I recall, they were pricey in the day. I remember a few around the neighborhood, but Toro was the big seller.

If you are going to powdercoat the engine, be sure that all surfaces that you don't want coated are protected.

They were pricey. My dad paid $149 for my mower in 1971. I only powder coated the deck, engine cover, and the handle. I think next winter, I will restore my new Lawnboy that my Grandfather purchased in 1975!
