    I have a 55 Buick Special 2DR Post.

I'm doing an off the body restoration.

Rearend is Triangulated Four Bar with a 9 inch Ford Disc Brakes from a Lincoln Versailles. Fits perfect.

Engine will be a Chevy 350 Small Block.

Transmssion will be a Chevy turbo 400.

Steering column will be from a 1976 Chevy Van (tilt)

FrontBrakes will be disc brakes with an adaptor from Mike Pemberton 510 5016299. Uses the original spindle. Mike gives you the bracket adapter and instructions and part number (rotor, caliper, hose, etc) to get it from NAPA.
Mike also recommended from rareparts.com (Dave Waters) the 2 inch drop springs.

Wheels Cragar SS or Thorq Thruster II or D

    Questions:

Is there a Chevy engine adaptor for the 55 Buick Special? I don't want to weld to the frame, I wanted to use the original engine mount holes and use an adpater to put in the Chevy 350 (Small Block).

Is there a transmission crossmember adaptor for the Chevy transmission?

Can I replace the original steering box so I can put in an IROC power steering?

What else can I do to improve the front suspension ?

Are there any polyurethane bushings(front suspension) for the 55 Buick?

Where can I buy polyurethane body mounts for the 55 Buick Special?

NO drag racing, car will be a daily driver in California.

    Thanks,
    Ernie
