Yes Sir, my favorite weather person, the girl with the "giant brains," said, "It will be a beautiful day!!! I've got bad news, kinda. My son, yes Alex, "lost" my phone Saturday after our boating trip. His phone was dead, so he called his brother on my phone, and left it on the engine cover of his boat. It's somewhere in Jupiter. It's gone. I will be getting a new phone in a couple days. I will have NO PHONE NUMBERS!!! So, don't text, or call me yet, till I get a phone. The good part, I can still communicate with all the V8 Buick forum people. The bad news. I lost a bunch of Buick people that were just on my phone. I see a conspiracy here. His buddies have a bunch of Buick turbo cars coming over. I think he tried to get rid of all my V8 Buick contacts. Serious BUMMER!!! I'm actually really bummed out because I recently found a bunch of V8 Buick brethren, and I never got to get back with them. They wanted to come to the "Get Together." Big bummer! On a positive note, it's still going to be a GREAT showing, and we're working on more. Alex and I have worked on a "Stupid gifts" lotto. You know, pull your name out of a hat and you just might win a gift! A couple of V8 Forum members have even contacted me about gifts they will donate! Awesome!!! We're also working on a cruise, sports bar, pizza place, for the evening. Good buddy, Shev, from the Buick turbo forum is kinda in charge of the South Florida cruisers which happens almost every Saturday night. I gotta tell you... It's a blast cruising with 35 to 45 muscle cars. Puts a BIG smile on your face!!! More news soon. My phone number will be the same, but it'll take a couple days for them to ship it to me. If you get on highway 27 to Lake Wales,then 60 east to Yeehaw Junction,441 south. In Ochochobee(sp) turn east on highway 70 then south on 710 to West Palm Beach. No tolls. Speed trap @ PGA blvd. Just a suggestion.
I love the express lanes on 95; I saved a lot of time over the years going back and forth to my Dad's place in Aventura. That being said, the express lanes kinda set up two classes of drivers -- those who can afford to use them express lanes and those who cannot. Not sure that is entirely fair. But yeah, toll roads suck and should be banned.
Good morning Buick race fans. 1 week to go till our get together. Right now the weather for that day is looking good. I'll keep my fingers crossed! I've got some really cool news!!! The owner of Cars and Coffee, Palm Beach called my buddy Shev. Shev is my go to guy for getting the turbo Buicks to show up at our gathering. He's also kinda the head guy in organizing "South Florida Cruises" on Facebook. Anyhow, Shev told this guy about our Get Together. This guy told Shev, "Tell your Buick friends that I will give them front row, Marquis parking if we come to Cars and Coffee Sunday morning. Sooo, to any of our out of town guests, If you are spending the night after our Get Together it would be awesome if you could make it to Cars and Coffee Sunday morning! It is being held at Palm Beach International Speedway. 17047 Beeline Hwy., Jupiter, Fl 33478 To "up north Steve" and Fernando. If you do decide to go to the Cars and Coffee, it would be a very easy ride leaving there to go back home. Continue NW on Beeline Hwy. to the city of Okeechobee. Go west on State Rd. 70 for about a mile. Go north on 441 to SR 192. West on SR 192 to Kissimmee where you can get on the turnpike. The state roads I named are VERY rural and a nice relaxing drive.
