Yes folks, it is that time of the year again! The first date will be Saturday, February 27th, and a rain out date of Saturday, March 27th. I hope that works for all of you. Eating arrangements will be the same. I'll provide the pulled pork, and chicken sandwiches, and if you can, bring a side dish, chips, or desert. It's a BYOB party. Coolers and ice will be provided. The National Weather Service has assured me that the weather will be BEAUTIFUL!!!! (I hope) We've got a couple of new people and their Buicks showing up. My buddy Milton, AKA stump puller455, will finally have his awesome car show up. Milton had a complete frame off restoration! Right now it is pretty close to being finished, but even better... It drives beautifully and flat out hauls azz!!!! I can attest to that! My son Alex and I have been meeting up at car shows with this young couple, Mike and Keilly. They have a 1953 Buick Special that looks very gangster. I'm hoping some other people, hint, hint, hint, from west Florida and the Orlando area can make it down here. Alex and I drove our cars up to Orlando for a very cool car show up there, and met some of you guys. Awesome! That's it for right now. Please send an RSVP if you can make it so we have a rough head count. I forget some important information for anyone that has not been here. 217 Henthorne Dr Palm Springs, Fl 33461 561 722 0922 text or call Leave a message if you're not in my phones contact list.
I marked February 27th on my calendar with confidence as I know you are tight with the National Weather Service guys! When it get closer tell me what you need for a side dish.
Awesome guys! Steve, that would be too cool if you could bring that car. Your Riviera is mighty awesome too. I wish all the people that show up to the get together we're on the V8 forum. Now I have to start the texting process. I hate that part.
John, I will be there. I'll check with you as we get closer and will bring whatever you need that someone else has not volunteered for. Got a T shirt for the prize give away. Steve, I'll bring your parts along unless your up in this area at some point. Fred
Hey guys, As far as I know, we're still expecting a pretty good crowd! I sure wish EVERYONE was on the Buick V8 forum. It would make things soooo much easier. Probably more V8 cars are showing up from texting on my phone, than this awesome forum. I do know we'll have 2, yes I said two, GSX's. Jim and Retha are coming over from the west coast of Florida with their beautiful car. Another guy I met at The Palm Beach Cars and Coffee is coming up from Ft. Lauderdale with his GSX. Steve, with his beautiful Riviera will undoubtedly get the long distance award. My son Alex has been working with the Facebook Turbo Buick people and a bunch of them will be here, including a GNX. We're going to have a mini Buick Nationals going on!!! OK, the weird stuff. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and give me your feelings. My wife said, "Maybe with this Covid thing going on we should just do pizza instead of everyone handling the utensils for fixing up their pulled pork, or chicken sandwiches, along with sides. I really liked doing the pulled pork and chicken, but if that makes you hesitant, I will change the lunch choice. It's up to you all. If you don't want to put your view out in the open, feel free to text me. That's fine. I believe everyone has my phone number. Back to the Get Together... I believe we really have a good size group of people coming!!! We lost a couple people from last year due to date conflicts, but we gained a bunch of people that my son and I have met locally, and kinda far away. We're going to have a free raffle where you just might win something you can use, or want. There most likely will be a car cruise that evening if you wish to come along. I'll have more details when I find out more specifics. We have a turbo Buick buddy that we'll see tomorrow. He's kinda in charge of South Florida Cruises on Facebook. So more details soon. That's it for now. If you have any questions give me a shout. Thanks guys!!!
John, my 70 vert is running, tagged, and insured. We will be there. As far as Covid, if you live your life trying not to die, are you really living?
Right now I plan on bringing another car I've been working on and as for the food Im good on whatever you choose to provide. Not skeerd of the Covid.
Can't wait the day I move down there and enjoy the weather and car show/cruise nights 12 months of the year! I will then join you guys!
