    Derek,
Thank you. What you did was very moving. I saw this post a few days ago, and didn't think myself as anyone deserving. I have a home to live in, food to eat, and Buicks around my house. Most are not mine, but are some great friends that are helping me out right now. Helping me earn some money by working on them. Although slow, its sure been rewarding.

In the last two years since I was disabled, I have met many kind Buick friends. People that I never knew before this board. I have traveled across this great country on their dime. Of coarse it was towing their car or parts with sleepless nights and freezing temperatures, but none the less a great adventure. Places and friends that I would have never been able to go and meet without this board.

Thanks go to all of you, that are so generous and kind.

This is a fantastic gesture and goodwill...

Rick is very deserving. He has done a lot of people great favors by trucking stuff across country. Rick also delivered Buick parts for me and I am very greatful.

Rick, I it was indeed a pleasure to meet you and thanks for the help!
You are deserving! Best of luck to you!

Rick, no problem. This board has been a tremendous help to me. I have lost count of how many questions have been answered, and how willing everyone is on here to help me. My thanks to all of you.

The stuff is now in a box, that finally made it from my truck to my office. It will be sent out Monday! :)

    Derek = decent guy

You are a good guy Derek, except for that unfortunate incident with Air Force One you are OK in my book.

Rick, the stuff shipped out today. I hope to see all the stuff installed in person one day! Sorry about the delay.

Steve, Steve, Steve. Guess what? I never got to guard Air Force One. Why? Because my stupid self overslept. That was a great feeling....NOT. "This is unit 265, I overslept....sooooo screw the president and his shiny plane, I was tired" Just when you think everything is running smooth, life happens. :spank: Needless to say, I felt like a turd. :Dou:

If I had given away all the information that you did, I would want to be a safe distance from the plane too.

Forget oversleeping though, diarrhea is the king of BS excuses. Rarely does anyone asks a follow up question. But if they do, you say, " 25 minute drive to work and I am on the toilet every 15 minutes..... you do the math."

No I am not ever letting the Air Force One thing go. Its just too priceless. :beer

    Derek,
I received the box yesterday. WOW. I always wanted a set of those TA valve covers. The wires are very serious aren't they! I can't wait to put all of them in my car. Just have to wait for the rain to stop. Thank you very much! :TU:

I'm one of the Buick friends that Rick has met in the past couple of years. Today is the first that I found out that Rick was the recipient of your generosity. I know who suggested Rick to you. My only regret is that I didn't think of him also. Rick, enjoy those parts. You truly deserve them. :TU:
    Cheers

Excellent! Rick, I am glad you got them ok. I ask only one thing. When some goofy looking guy in a 71 GS painted the wrong color blue drives by you at a Buick meet, wave...because I don't know very many other people yet!

    Hey,

I sold that 71 GS a couple of years ago and it was painted black, not blue!

Oh, you're not talking about me are you?

    Derek,
I am sure that there are some Buick shows in your part of the country with folks that love to talk Buicks. Seems like everytime I go to a show or a swap meet, I run into two or three Buick folks. Your welcome up here anytime.

Chris, I think you can buy those rings singly. I broke one a couple of years ago when putting a BBB together and just went and bought a single one.

    Interested...

I'd be very interested if ya still had stuff to get rid of... My name is David Carter .. I'm 25. Maried 3 years and a 2 year old daughter... I've been piecing my 70 skylark together for 3 years... Stuff just keeps comming up.. Got maried, had a kid, and bought a new Home..or the bank bought a home for us, i'll pay em back eventually... I'm not poor, but deffinately a paycheck to paycheck guy... I'm not to proud to say that I' pretty much built my car with parts i've saved for months to buy... Now this new engine may bankrupt me.....

No pitty, but your parts would be greatly appreciated by me... I'd even post pics and give ya honarable mention.

    Thanks David Carter
