200-4R is a great choice for you conversion. It’s smaller and lighter than the th400, has better gear ratios and the overdrive is great. After market trans mounts are available that fit perfect and the 200C trans linkage fits and works without alterations. With a none lockup converter it’s super easy. With a stock to mild 455 build it will hold up good if not beat on. Builds with more power will need some changes in internal parts to hold up. My 200-4R was built up by Vince Janis in Akron, Oh. and handles my 570hp, 575lbs.ft Tq. JW 470 no
problem. Good luck with the build 455 Regals are a blast to drive. Roger

I wish I was of help I got a th400. Origional three speed car I have though. So the trans gate has to be a three speed anyways.
