I want to put some good alu head on my 455 and i dont know what to choose ????

I'm 0.020'' oversize (not to much)
I will put a bigger cam
I will put some headers on it
I have a Edelbrook performer intake
    I have a Holley 4bbl 750 cfm carb

You have a choice, either Edelbrock aluminum heads, or TA Performance aluminum heads. Both are Stage1 heads. The TA heads flow better on the exhaust side, but minimal porting will improve flow on both heads. The Edelbrocks use Chevy style stud mounted rocker arms. The TA heads use the stock shaft mounted rockers. If you want roller rockers, the Edelbrock heads will be cheaper to equip that way.

TA Performance also makes a Stage2 head. If you have not purchased headers yet, I would go with the Stage2SE heads from TA. They have a much better exhaust port.

You can't go wrong with any aluminum head. They will outperform all but the best iron ported heads. You can read more about the various porting options on Greg Gessler's site:

We run Edelbrock aluminum and like the chevy type roller rockers.

One thing you will need is a larger carb. The 750 is too small. We have been running a 950 on our mild 464, and will be going to 1050 over the winter.

Our heads flow better out of the box compared to the Edelbrock heads and have more potential too. If it matters they also look like a stock head, just aluminum, some guys like that.

There is no model number. Edelbrock and TA Performance make Buick 455 aluminum heads. TA makes the Stage1 and 2 heads, and there are SE's (Street Eliminators) and TE (Track eliminators) You want the Stage1SE's or the Stage2SE's. I recommend the Stage2SE's. In any case, you can buy them and have them assembled and ported here:

No, I appologize for my thoughtless reply ...... the edelbrock heads can certainly perform well , but I like the TA heads. Go with the stage2 street eliminators if you need to buy headers anyway.

Single pattern cam. Same duration on intake and exhaust. A good mid sized cam to use with good flowing heads like Stage2 heads. Most cams have more duration on the exhaust side to help out the poorer exhaust flow. The better your heads flow, the less you need the split duration.

I have the TA310 cam with Bulldog aluminum heads.

I went from 11 to one with the steel heads I had to 9.7 to one with the aluminum set and I think it performs just as well.

    Better in some areas.

    Always check your clearances!
