430 engine accelerates n makes rattling noise

I don't know how far you are from Yorktown, Indiana..... but John Stevens is a top notch Buick mechanic and he's a good guy as well. I'm sure he'd help you out. On the map it looks like he's about 40-50 miles from Indianapolis.

 

Thanks to all for replying it is very much appreciated....my original distributor wire came loose...the wire that's connected to the point assembly with the clamp where the small bolt keeps it intact...so I took the wire and wrapped it around the screw then tighten it with the small bolt.. the car ran normal, It was temporary and didn't want it to happen again so I just replaced the distributor , cause the lack of the electrical connection made the car run horrible...Stagetwo65 do you have contact info for John Stevens in Yorktown? Once again thanks 2 all and any info regarding this is appreciated..
