Looking for the reverse rod(s) set up and bracket. I see you can buy an entire set of rods new but hoping someone has this needle in a haystack.. thanks
Hey there, if no one on this site has what you’re looking for, try this site: https://www.shifterdoc.com I am pretty certain I purchased an individual shift rod from there in the past.
It looks like you need the rod and the front & rear brackets, for a 70-72 style set up. When I was doing my first 70 Stage 1 4-speed I only needed the front bracket. Kleiner sent me an original to copy. I had a box of different Pontiac brackets and made the Buick front bracket by cutting pieces from 3 of the Pontiac brackets. Good luck with your search. Duane
Thanks. How much for the set up ( I already have the flywheel cover). With your set up, I think I would still need to find the small front reverse rod, correct?
The rod assembly that comes off the steering column and goes to the trans and frame is the same for the automatics and is plentiful. There would be a ton of guys here that can get that for you. There is a bracket for the frame, plus a plastic washer & spring etc. They are easy to find. Duane
Looks like you have the stud so you should just need the reverse lever ($15) the rod ($35)and the swing arm ($40). plus shipping And if anyone is after the cover its $65 plus shipping
I've heard, but he doesn't have this short rod. So trying to find one... this last pic I posted doesn't look correct for the very short reverse rod?
Not to hijack the thread but do you have any parts that would work on my "Super Muncie" 3 speed trans from a rare 70-455 car?
The rod in the above picture is for a 1968-72 Chevelle with OEM Muncie trans and shifter Hope this helps... Crash
I have the rod you're looking for. E-mail me your phone number. crash_enterprises@yahoo.com Thanks... Crash
After a bit of a search I was able to find all the parts and believe my linkage is now complete. I think I need a new correct the reverse rod trunion thingy though. Thanks to RACEBUICKS, Todd/Stage Won Restoration and Inline Tube. Just need to grab some nuts for the reverse rod. Thanks all.
