So if your 70-72 4 speed GS came with disc brakes, did the brake pedal pad say "disc brakes" on it? Or was it plain?

    Plain I believe.

You (Jason) and James are far more knowledge than me, but IIRC my old Stage 1 4-sp with PDB did have a "disk brakes" pedal pad. I looked @ another one recently that was very original car and I think it had one too, but I can check with the current owner.

One of my 350 cars was wore bad, and looked to be a plain pad, and had disc up front....

    Jason,
It was plain for the Buicks. The trim ring etc. was for an automatic disc brake car.

The pad is NOT like the "Chevy pad" with the disc metal plate in it.

I stand corrected:). Sucks when your memory starts going.

    Dano,
Memory, Brad and I were just talking about that yesterday.

Brad said it was the first thing to go..............and I said maybe not the first, but we're not going to talk about that...................

Thanks guys. The car is question has a plain pedal pad on it and I was second guessing myself as to weather that was correct or not.

I don't understand whether the weather would make a difference or not. Are you thinking that if it was raining that day the pedal pad might not have been plain?:spank::bla::Smarty:
