I've ordered from TA maybe 5 times within email and everything worked fine. Just curious to know how fast they usually answer for emails.
Yes I've sent second message. Thing is I'll need new connecting rods. I did exactly what you guys told me not to do and ordered standard ARP bolts without measuring rods first ou: Bolts holes are too loose. I have early style rods so instead of using oversize bolts Im looking for cap screw ones. TA sell reconditioned rods with ARP bolts and bearing holes trued/resized $455, I try to find out do they have them in stock.
Could somebody please tell me how to creat new post so that I can ask qustions. I just joined the site. Thanks in advance!

TA did not have reconditioned rods in stock. Custom rods will be ready in 4-6 weeks which is bit too long for my patience, summer is too short here in Finland. I found NOS never used cap screw rods from this forum, those are plenty for my needs.
Nothing wrong with those rods. I think people were steering you elsewhere because you get a lot more rod for the $$. Stock rods are...OK...for the price. Don't put too much into them.
My bad luck with rods continues, I bought NOS cap screw rods and ARP bolts and after weight reducing and balancing them I took them to machine shop for resizing. I got call today: almost all rods have loose bolt holes and bad alignment issues, after loosing and re-torquing bolts bearing cap is in different place every time. I had this same issue with my old bolt and nut style rods with ARPs. Maybe my next move is just sit and wait for forged rods from TA, I just called to them and it may take months before they'll get them, I afraid this summer is gone for me and my buick.. :ball:
Are these kind of alignment problems common with stock rods? I still can't believe how NOS rods can be useless. Worst had 0 - 0.004" misalignement, depending which bolt you tight first.. Where I can buy stock bolts? Maybe higher torque of ARPs causing troubles?
FINALLY TA shipped steel connecting rods for me. They are great company but I have say this: their service is SLOW. In july 6th I got email they have rods ready to ship and they will send bill for me, and nothing happened untill monday 18th. That is looong time to wait when you have all other parts for engine rebuilt and our short summer is on half way already. I also modified oil pan for ~ 1qt more capacity, I can show few pics when I get it painted if someone interested.
Started to put engine together today. I will only get 9.2:1 static because pistons were more down hole than I expected and Molnar steel rods seems to be .005 shorter than stock. I did not dergreed my Crower lvl 3 cam yet but intake should close at 66 ABDC when ICL is 108 right? Then I will only have 7.3 DCR. If I advance it 4 to 104 ICL I will have 7.53 DCR. What you guys think should I advance it? I have Comp Cams +/- 4 degree timing set. Btw I noticed Molnars won't fit directly, they will hit to cam lope so I have grind them little bit, how much you would say for safe clearance between rod and cam?
