    Team Buick,
Hey guys I've tried searching the forum for a good diagram showing my intake vacuum ports but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

So, I've decided to swap my carburetor setup for a Howell EFI kit. I live in Colorado and with the elevation and emissions requirement I feel like my only hope in getting my vehicle registered here is to go with an EFI kit. I've got a 1969 350 that came out of a J-seriesn Jeep Truck and was installed by the PO in my CJ-7. I know it's a Jeep, but I figured you guys are the experts at Buick engines so hopefully you can help. The Jeep forums don't help with this.

    Questions:
    1. The TBI with the kit has far fewer vacuum options than my trusty Edelbrock, so I need to use some of the ports on my intake manifold. Directly behind the adapter plate there are two small openings which have plugs. Would one of these be fine for my power brake booster? (PDF Attached) Also, if I use one of these I'll need some type of elbow so I don't hit my air cleaner. Any idea on elbow options. Here's a link to a 90 elbow I found but not sure if someone knows of a better one.

    2. Not vacuum related, but the Howell kit also requires a dedicated temperature sensor. Can I use the port on the driver side front portion of the intake for this? Also, in the future I am planning on installing an electric fan setup and will need a third temperature sensor. Any ideas on where I could mount one? See markup showing the plug up front I'm talking about.

    3. Anyone have any recommendations for a good throttle bracket? Currently I have a Lokar bracket that utilizes the rear mounts of the carb which won't work with the TBI. I'm just hoping to find something decent so I don't have to fabricate my own.

Let me know if anyone can help!

    1) The Power Brake take off for the stock 350 intake manifold was that plugged port in your pdf picture. The hose for the booster is 3/8" fuel line hose, so an elbow like this be better,

2)Yes, you can use the port on the front of the intake for your temperature sensor. If you need another, you may be able to weld or braze a bung into the top of the radiator tank.

    3) Need a picture of the throttle body to see what might work. Can you use a stock throttle bracket and adjustable Lokar cable? I would consider the TA Performance 350 aluminum intake,

or, if you want a single plane intake, the SP3,

It is drilled for both square bore and spread bore bolt patterns. You wouldn't need an adapter in that case, and you could use an adjustable Holley type bracket like this,
